|The long-term objective of
this core facility is to establish a Clinical Core at national
level to facilitate and to ensure high-quality genetic studies
of human diseases (both familial and complex gene disease studies)
and pharmacogenomics studies in Taiwan. This core, together with
National Genotyping Center (high throughput genotyping core facility),
is essential for the continued success of National Research Program
for Genomic Medicine in uncovering genes that are associated
with disease susceptibility and adverse drug reactions. The Specific
Aims for this core are:
- To assist physicians/research scientists conduct large-scale,
high-quality genetic disease research that would lead to significant
- To train research assistants/nurses in genetic counseling
and genetic study, so that they are able to prepare case report
(CRF) and informed consent form (ICF), IRB review preparation,
phenotype assessment, history taking and pedigree establishment.
conduct genetic research which would comply the regulation
of FDA and meet the requirement of Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
install database system which has feature of remote capture
and complies FDA regulation.
- To provide statistical analysis
support for collaborative research.
